Cold test around freezing point

With the cold comes water. Not from outside, but from inside. Moisture from breathing, cooking, and showering.

Cold bridges. The first drops collect on them and form small rivulets that make the path of the cold inside visible. Our approach is to insulate the cold bridges from the outside with closed-cell material. This keeps the water vapor where it belongs—in the air. For now.

The humid air must be removed quickly. Very brief bursts of ventilation help before surfaces cool down and condensation collects there too.

A powerful fan will be installed above the stove, the same one we already use in the shower. Extra loud and powerful.

And then we’ll test a compact dehumidifier.

Technology and tactics will tell.

We’ll keep you posted!
